Getting into shape is hard work.
But so is being out of shape.
I have been both. I was out of shape not only by gaining 45 pounds (half of those pounds being straight junk food I’m sure) for each of my 5 pregnancies, but also through some bad habits during my early twenties of drinking way too much 5 nights a week, followed by Taco Bell at 2am, followed by breakfast at McDonald’s at 10am, followed by a box of Girl Scout Cookies throughout the day. Once I actually convinced myself to finish that whole box of cookies in one sitting… that way they would be gone and the temptation would no longer be an issue. No really. I KNOW what it’s like to live life focused on what I get to eat next. When getting the next cheeseburger is an OBSESSION. I know what it’s like to be completely stuffed full… and to keep eating anyway.
I know what it’s like to not have the power to tell yourself “no.”
I know how shameful it feels to hide food so that no one knows how often you eat. Or what you eat. To wonder if it will ever get better. To read about every diet, try it for a day (if I was lucky to last that long), and end with a binge. I know what it’s like to be in CONSTANT ARGUMENT IN MY OWN MIND… back and forth, talking myself in and out of exercise.
The Master’s Fitness Plan teaches us how to stop giving in to that argument.
I don’t always feel like exercising. I rarely get through an hour workout without wishing that I could quit midway through. I would rather eat Oreos and Doritos than a salad. I LOVE pizza and cheeseburgers! And to be honest, I suppose there’s a guilty pleasure when stuffing myself on Chinese food long past the point of “I’m full.”
But having said all of that, I HAVE DISCOVERED A DEEPER SATISFACTION IN TREATING MY BODY WELL, than in the temporary satisfaction of unhealthy foods. My fitness journey began in my heart and mind, not in my eating and workouts. I first had to know how to think, in order to pursue my goals.
Quite honestly, from where I was at one point to where I am now is not something I deserve credit for. The Master’s Fitness Plan has been a gift from God. One day at a time, He has revealed to me that I am a person whose body needs to be taken care of. Through faith, I have come to know that I am loved… that each and every one of us regardless of our past or present and even future mistakes, is loved by the God who created us. There’s something very special about understanding that God loves you. When that happens, when you feel loved, when you feel lovable, when you feel worth loving, a mental stance begins to form that becomes protective of yourself.
Like, “Hey, I am worth something. I don’t want my body trashed.”
And then little by little, day by day, through knowledge and desire, changes take place.
Good changes. Healthy changes. Lifelong changes.
The process gains simplicity.
I’m certainly not saying that it’s easy to reject the cheeseburger and eat a salad instead. But with a desire in place, it is achievable.
The Master’s Fitness Plan (TMFP) provides the strategy needed, to make the small and simple changes one very specific step at a time.
TMFP leads you on a journey of breaking old habits and establishing new habits, based on Biblical principles, one day at a time for 4 weeks. Each day, you simply read about the new habit to focus on in the Workbook (read a sample of the Workbook here), and then hang the Guidebook , which is somewhat like a calendar, onto your wall to remind you all day long the ONE THING to focus on for that day. ONE THING a day, for 28 days.
After your initial 28 days through The Plan, you can go through it again, or transition to using just the Poster, with all of your reminders listed, and ready to be marked off with a dry erase marker to help you keep yourself accountable and on track. The Guidebook of The Master’s Fitness Plan is a lifestyle reminder guide. The 28 new habits get reinforced again and again, for life. This eliminates the need to be perfect! This extends grace through the process of learning how to live for health!
There’s a lot on the market to aid us in the mission to get skinny and “lose weight fast!” but I have never seen a program that teaches people everything I have learned in order to achieve results and maintain them. What I see currently available, only leaves me thinking “Yeah, but…” there is so much more UNTOLD then TOLD!
The MENTAL side of getting fit is where the results begin! So if you don’t know how to get motivated, what good will the mini workouts and weekly menus do?! You already know that the way to get healthy is to “eat right and exercise”, right? The MASTER’S Fitness Plan addresses many underlying issues that prevent us from doing what we already know we should do. You can use TMFP alone, or use it as the MENTAL TRAINING MANUAL to compliment any workout program.
Not only does TMFP address the underlying issues by walking you through the process with simple steps in a strategic order for conquering goals, but the design of The Plan is different as well. It is more than a book. I thought about the design for YEARS. Literally, years. What will actually help people? What would actually help ME??? I wanted TMFP to be something in-your-face, without being annoying. A constant reminder, without being “one more thing” sitting on the kitchen counter, lost in a pile of junk mail and magazines. A daily focus on one simple thing. Seems doable, right? One new picture a day. One new focus a day. One new step towards a new life, a day.
If you think that is something you can do, The Master’s Fitness Plan may be your answer. There’s only one way to find out! I cannot guarantee that this will work for everybody, but I can guarantee that if you don’t love The Master’s Fitness Plan, you can return it at any time within 60 days after purchase date for a full refund. 60 days to get familiar with a 28 day plan.
The BATTLE of health and fitness is real! Which is why my desire and goal for writing The Master’s Fitness Plan is to equip you with the tools needed to Train From the Inside Out. Accomplishing goals for health and fitness is not an easy task, but TMFP can equip you to take on the battle, so that you can be strong enough mentally to stand up for your own body and do what it takes for physical strength.
I understand the challenge in lacking DESIRE to exercise. I understand what it’s like to not know where to begin! Let me walk with you on your journey to a healthier lifestyle. I can teach you, through Biblical principles, step by step, how to transform your THINKING, so that you can transform your body, feel better than ever mentally and physically, and experience a surge of ENERGY and PURPOSE.
You CAN overcome!
